[RELEASE] GRADUATION DEBRIEFING XXXVI “Innovation and Creativity: Keys to Success in Digital Era”
Serpong, November 2nd, 2024 – Bunda Mulia University hosted the Graduation Debriefing XXXVI at The UBM Sport Hall, with support from the Department of Alumni and Career Center. All graduating students from the Accounting, Management, Digital Business, Communication Studies, and Hospitality & Tourism programs engaged in this inspiring event, themed “Innovation and Creativity: Keys to Success in the Digital Era.”
The event showcased two insightful sessions. The first session was moderated by Ms. Regina Dewi Hanifah, SST.Par, M.Par, centered on “Creative Problem-Solving: Essential Skills for Digital Professionals.” Industry experts Mr. Faisal Tjandaatmadja, Complex Director of People & Culture at Pan Pacific Jakarta, PARKROYAL Jakarta, and PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Jakarta, along with Mr. Ryan Fernando, a Field Producer at CNN Indonesia and an alumnus of UBM’s Communication Studies program, emphasized the significance of cultivating creative problem-solving skills for both personal and organizational advancement. Their engaging presentation illustrated how these skills can boost productivity, encourage innovation, and provide a competitive advantage.
The second session, presented by Professor Stephen Cairns, a Professor of Urban Design at Monash University, discussed “Lifelong Learning for a Fulfilling Career.” Professor Cairns stressed the significance of integrating learning into urban development and shared compelling examples of urban design projects that have created conducive learning environments.
To acknowledge the valuable contributions of the speakers and the moderator, Ms. Yenli Megawati, S.E., M.M., the Vice-Rector of Student Affairs and Facilities, presented tokens of appreciation. In addition to the insightful presentations, the event featured sharing sessions by the UBM Postgraduate program for aspiring graduate students and by Monash University, which offered exclusive benefits to UBM graduates considering further studies.
This event also introduced various programs offered by the Alumni & Career Center, including the UBM Mentoring System, which pairs graduates with experienced mentors in their respective fields. Additionally, the session highlighted the importance of completing the tracer study to gather valuable data on alumni outcomes. This event concluded with a rehearsal for the graduation ceremony, providing detailed instructions on the ceremony’s flow, rules, and procedures. This comprehensive preparation event equipped graduating students with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the dynamic digital age. UBM continues to empower its graduates to become future leaders by emphasizing innovation, lifelong learning, and career development.
