[Release] Industrial Visit Accounting Study Program to PB Taxand

On November 29th, 2023, the students of Bunda Mulia University’s Accounting Study Program embarked on an industrial visit to PB Taxand in Jakarta, Indonesia. This visit not only offered them a valuable opportunity to understand the functions of accounting in the tax industry but also allowed them to experience firsthand the practical application of their acquired knowledge. PB Taxand, a respected private company in Indonesia’s tax consulting sector, served as an inspiration for the students, motivating them to strive for excellence in their chosen field.

During the first session, Ms. Irene Puspitasari provided students with an understanding of individual tax, discussing basic concepts, tax obligations, and recent changes in tax regulations that may affect individuals. Following this, Ms. Terrafel Khansawa presented on “Corporate Tax,” discussing issues related to corporate tax, including basic concepts, corporate tax strategies, and significant changes in corporate tax regulations. Before the second session, Ms. Tia Septiani from PB Taxand presented an introduction to their company profile as a tax consultant, as well as sharing about the world of accounting and finance. Additionally, a joint discussion covered key aspects such as financial reporting, auditing, and financial management strategies that can improve business performance and sustainability.

The visit was a valuable opportunity for UBM Accounting students at Ancol Campus to exchange ideas, discuss current challenges, and devise effective solutions to improve user experience. The students were encouraged to appreciate the contribution of accounting in maintaining financial balance and driving business growth in the food sector. In addition, the students also had the opportunity to observe the latest trends in the industry and how they can be utilized to improve user experience.
