[RELEASE] Industrial Visit CTI – Innovating with Big Data, AI, and the Cloud by Information System, Informatics & Data Science Study Program Serpong Campus

Jakarta, February 5, 2025 – The Alumni Career & Center Department, in collaboration with the Information Systems, Informatics, and Data Science study programs at Bunda Mulia University Serpong Campus, organized an industrial visit to CTI Group, situated at Centennial Tower in South Jakarta. Recognized as the largest IT distributor in Southeast Asia, CTI Group is renowned for its commitment to continuous innovation. This event welcomed 52 students from the three study programs, providing them with the opportunity to learn firsthand about the role of cloud technology in supporting artificial intelligence (AI) and big data. The objective of this visit was to enhance students’ practical insights and skills in the rapidly evolving IT industry.

The series of events began at 13.30, starting with remarks from Mrs. Yemima Monica Geasela, Secretary of the Information Systems Department. This was followed by a company profile presentation by the CTI Group team, led by Mrs. Widya Marcelina, Education Partner Relations Officer of CTI Group. Then, Ms. Anak Agung Sri Nandini, a Cloud Technology Community Specialist, presented the Indonesia Cloud Community (ICCom).

The session continued with material sharing by Mr. Ricky Jeconiah, Cloud Solution Architect. This sharing session discussed topics such as cloud computing, Big Data, and AI, the characteristics of Big data, the development of AI from the past to the present, the challenges of AI, and the stages needed to create and develop AI. It then continued with an interactive question-and-answer session. 

The Q&A session discussed how AI will develop in the future, how to give good prompts to get good results, what programming languages are used to create AI, and what skills are needed as a cloud architect. This activity ended with the submission of a Token of Appreciation (TOA) by Mrs. Yemima Monica Geasela, Secretary of the Department of Information Systems, group photos, and an office tour to get to know the company’s operations more closely. 

Through this activity, students gain new insights into how the theories and practices learned in class are applied in the world of work. In addition, they also have the opportunity to build a professional network that can be useful in the future.  Hopefully, this activity can continue to inspire students of Information Systems, Informatics, and Data Science Study Programs to explore the world of industry and prepare themselves to face the challenges of the world of work in the future.

Jakarta, 5 Februari 2025 – Departemen Alumni Career & Center bekerja sama dengan program studi Sistem Informasi, Teknik Informatika, dan Data Sains Universitas Bunda Mulia Kampus Serpong menyelenggarakan kunjungan industri ke CTI Group yang berlokasi di Centennial Tower, Jakarta Selatan. Dikenal sebagai distributor TI terbesar di Asia Tenggara, CTI Group terkenal dengan komitmennya untuk terus berinovasi. Acara ini menyambut 52 mahasiswa dari tiga program studi, memberikan mereka kesempatan untuk belajar secara langsung tentang peran teknologi cloud dalam mendukung kecerdasan buatan (AI) dan big data. Tujuan dari kunjungan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan wawasan dan keterampilan praktis mahasiswa dalam industri IT yang berkembang pesat.

Rangkaian acara dimulai pada pukul 13.30 diawali dengan sambutan dari Ibu Yemima Monica Geasela, Sekretaris Jurusan Sistem Informasi. Dilanjutkan dengan presentasi company profile oleh tim CTI Group yang dipimpin oleh Ibu Widya Marcelina, Education Partner Relations Officer CTI Group. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan presentasi Indonesia Cloud Community (ICCom) oleh Ibu Anak Agung Sri Nandini, Cloud Technology Community Specialist. 

Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan sharing materi oleh Bapak Ricky Jeconiah, Cloud Solution Architect. Sesi sharing ini membahas topik mengenai apa itu cloud computing, Big Data dan AI, apa saja karakteristik dari Big data, perkembangan AI dari dulu sampai sekarang, apa saja tantangan dari AI, tahap-tahap apa saja yang dibutuhkan untuk membuat dan mengembangkan AI, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan sesi tanya jawab yang interaktif. 

Sesi tanya jawab membahas tentang bagaimana perkembangan AI di masa depan, bagaimana cara memberikan perintah yang baik agar mendapatkan hasil yang baik, bahasa pemrograman apa saja yang digunakan untuk membuat AI, hingga membahas tentang skill apa saja yang dibutuhkan sebagai seorang cloud architect. Kegiatan ini diakhiri dengan penyerahan Token of Appreciation (TOA) oleh Ibu Yemima Monica Geasela, Sekretaris Jurusan Sistem Informasi, foto bersama, dan office tour untuk mengenal lebih dekat operasional perusahaan. 

Melalui kegiatan ini, mahasiswa mendapatkan wawasan baru tentang bagaimana teori dan praktik yang dipelajari di kelas diterapkan di dunia kerja. Selain itu, mereka juga berkesempatan untuk membangun jaringan profesional yang dapat berguna di masa depan. Semoga kegiatan ini dapat terus menginspirasi mahasiswa Program Studi Sistem Informasi, Teknik Informatika, dan Data Science untuk menjajaki dunia industri dan mempersiapkan diri untuk menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja di masa depan.
