[Release] Navigating Business Communication: Effective Negotiation Techniques and Presentation in the Workplace – Soft Skill Training Bunda Mulia Long Distance Learning (BMLDL)

On July 20th, 2024,  a Soft Skill Training event was held by the Alumni & Career Center (ACC) of Bunda Mulia University for Bunda Mulia Long Distance Learning (BMLDL) students, which was handled online via Zoom meeting. Preparing the participants to master the communication skills in the workplace especially negotiation and presentation is the goal of this Soft Skill Training. 

It was an honor to have Mrs. Dian Yuni Lestari as the Head of HRGA at PT. Mount Scopus Indonesia (The Harvest Group) and an alumni from Bunda Mulia University, Mr. Budi as the Chief Finance Officer at PT. Alphanovation Digital Teknindo as the speakers to share their knowledge with all of the participants. The presentations were insightfully managed  and valuable information was well-conveyed to the participants. 

The techniques such as preparation before negotiating and presenting, active listening and empathy, using data as foundations to support the negotiation process, practicing the delivery of the presentation and negotiation, seeking feedback and continuously refining the communication skills are guaranteed will surely enhance the students’ ability to navigate complex business interactions, fostering more effective and productive workplace relationships. Thus, as they continue to hone these skills, they contribute not only to their personal success but also to the overall success and harmony of their organizations.

The interactive Q&A session that followed right after each presentation was an excellent opportunity for the BMLDL students to gain a deeper understanding of the techniques from the expert practitioners.

The event concluded with a virtual presentation of Tokens of Appreciation to the speakers, followed by a photo session. This Soft Skills Training exemplifies Bunda Mulia University’s dedication to equipping students with the latest insights from expert practitioners, showcasing UBM’s commitment to linking education with real-world applications.
