Coaching Clinic “Preparing a Professional Business Communication for Enhancing Employability”

Jakarta, 7 Februari 2026 — Dalam rangka meningkatkan kesiapan mahasiswa menghadapi dunia kerja yang semakin kompetitif, telah diselenggarakan kegiatan Coaching Clinic bertema “Preparing a Professional Business Communication for Enhancing Employability” dan Briefing OJT pada Sabtu, 7 Februari 2026 di The UBM Seminar Room (TUSR) Lantai 7 , UBM Kampus Ancol. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membekali peserta dengan keterampilan komunikasi bisnis profesional, khususnya dalam penyusunan Curriculum Vitae (CV) dan portofolio sebagai penunjang utama employability lulusan.
Acara ini dibuka dengan kata sambutan dari Kaprodi Ilmu Komunikasi, Ibu Dr. Lasmery Girsang, S.IP., M.Si, beliau memberikan arahan mengenai pentingnya magang dalam mendukung kompetensi mahasiswa Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi. Kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan penjelasan mengenai pelaksanaan detail kegiatan magang oleh Program Studi yang disampaikan oleh Ibu Zera Edenzwo Subandi, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom.. Dalam pemaparannya, beliau menjelaskan mekanisme, alur, serta ketentuan pelaksanaan magang yang harus dipahami mahasiswa, mulai dari persyaratan akademik, proses pendaftaran, hingga evaluasi kegiatan magang. Selanjutnya, Bapak Ignatius Adrian Mastan, S.E., S.Kom., S.A.B., M.M., M.Eng. dari Departemen OJT turut memberikan penjelasan mengenai UMS (UBM Mentoring System) yang digunakan dalam mendukung dan memantau pelaksanaan kegiatan magang. Penjelasan ini mencakup fungsi UMS sebagai sistem pelaporan aktivitas magang, monitoring, dan administrasi yang wajib digunakan mahasiswa selama menjalani program magang.

Kegiatan coaching clinic ini menghadirkan dua pembicara yang kompeten dan berpengalaman di bidang komunikasi. Pembicara pertama, Bapak Surianto, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom., Dosen Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Bunda Mulia Kampus Ancol, menyampaikan materi mengenai penyusunan CV dan portofolio yang profesional, efektif, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja. Dalam pemaparannya, Bapak Surianto, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom. menekankan pentingnya menampilkan identitas diri, kompetensi, serta pengalaman secara strategis agar mampu menarik perhatian perekrut dan mencerminkan profesionalisme pelamar kerja. Selain itu, peserta juga mendapatkan pemahaman mengenai kesalahan umum dalam penyusunan CV dan portofolio, serta tips menyesuaikan konten dengan posisi dan bidang pekerjaan yang dituju.


Pembicara kedua, Ibu Josephine Virginia, S.I.Kom., Alumni Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Bunda Mulia Kampus Ancol angkatan 2021, berbagi pengalaman praktisnya selama menjalani program magang di BPSDMP Kominfo Jakarta. Melalui sesi ini, Ibu Josephine Virginia, S.I.Kom., memberikan gambaran nyata mengenai pengalaman magang di BPSDMP Kominfo Jakarta serta penerapan komunikasi bisnis profesional di lingkungan kerja, termasuk pentingnya etika komunikasi di instansi pemerintahan.


Kegiatan berlangsung secara interaktif melalui sesi diskusi dan tanya jawab, sehingga peserta dapat langsung mengaitkan materi yang diperoleh dengan kebutuhan dan tantangan yang akan dihadapi di dunia kerja. Antusiasme peserta terlihat dari partisipasi aktif selama kegiatan berlangsung.

Melalui kegiatan coaching clinic ini, diharapkan peserta mampu menyusun CV dan portofolio yang profesional serta memiliki pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai komunikasi bisnis sebagai bekal untuk meningkatkan daya saing dan peluang kerja di masa depan.

Jakarta, February 7, 2026 — To enhance students’ readiness for the increasingly competitive world of work, a Coaching Clinic entitled “Preparing a Professional Business Communication for Enhancing Employability” and an OJT Briefing for the Communication Studies Program – Ancol Campus was held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the UBM Seminar Room (TUSR) on the 7th floor of UBM Ancol Campus. This activity aimed to equip participants with professional business communication skills, particularly in developing a Curriculum Vitae (CV) and portfolio, which are key pillars of graduate employability.
The event opened with remarks from the Head of the Communication Studies Program, Dr. Lasmery Girsang, S.IP., M.Si., who provided guidance on the importance of internships in supporting the competencies of Communication Studies students. The activity continued with an explanation regarding the detailed implementation of internship activities by the Study Program delivered by Mrs. Zera Edenzwo Subandi, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom. In her presentation, she explained the mechanisms, flow, and provisions for implementing internships that students must understand, starting from academic requirements, registration process, to evaluation of internship activities. Furthermore, Mr. Ignatius Adrian Mastan, S.E., S.Kom., S.A.B., M.M., M.Eng. from the OJT Department also provided an explanation regarding the UMS (UBM Mentoring System) which is used to support and monitor the implementation of internship activities. This explanation includes the function of UMS as a reporting system for internship activities, monitoring, and administration that students must use during the internship program.
The coaching clinic featured two competent and experienced speakers in the field of communications. The first speaker, Mr. Surianto, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom., a lecturer in Communication Studies at Bunda Mulia University, Ancol Campus, presented material on developing a professional, effective CV and portfolio that meets the needs of the workplace. In his presentation, Mr. Surianto, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom emphasized the importance of strategically presenting one’s identity, competencies, and experience to attract recruiters and reflect the professionalism of job applicants. Furthermore, participants gained an understanding of common mistakes in CV and portfolio development, as well as tips on tailoring content to the position and field of work being applied for.
The second speaker, Ms. Josephine Virginia, S.I.Kom. a 2021 alumni of the Communication Studies Program at Bunda Mulia University, Ancol Campus, shared her practical experience during her internship at the BPSDMP Kominfo Jakarta. In this session, Ms. Josephine Virginia, S.I.Kom. provided a concrete overview of her internship at BPSDMP Kominfo Jakarta and the application of professional business communication in the workplace, including the importance of communication ethics in government agencies.
The event was interactive, with discussions and a question-and-answer session allowing participants to directly relate the material learned to the needs and challenges they will face in the workplace. Participants’ enthusiasm was evident through their active participation throughout the event.
Through this coaching clinic, participants are expected to be able to develop professional CVs and portfolios and gain a better understanding of business communication, which will enhance their competitiveness and future job opportunities.
