UBM Alumni Career Center,  Prepares Competent and Competitive Graduates – IHG Wellbeing Session & Socialization

Bunda Mulia University representative, Miss Regina Dewi Hanifah, from the Department of Alumni and Career Center participated in the IHG Wellbeing Session & Socialization on 27 September 2023. The main goal of this activity is to help improve the emotional intelligence (EI) of the students. By attending this session, the Department of Alumni and Career Center could share with students and give more knowledge and insight about the importance of EI in the world of work.

IHG Wellbeing Session & Socialization is an event organized by the Human Resources Team Holiday Inn & Suites Jakarta Gajah Mada. The activities aim to enhance knowledge and insights on mental health that can be applied to the world of work, as well as preparation for students from each participating institution. Mr. Andry Aditya presented the event as Area Learning & Development Manager.

One of the focuses of this activity is the fulfillment of EI (Emotional intelligence) for students before entering the industry. A person with a good EI can control emotions of anger, be sensitive to other people’s feelings, and have a good relationship with others.

The need for students to fulfill their EI before entering the industry is a special concern today because the world of work demands that employees have good EI skills to cope with the challenges and pressures of work.

Lecturers can prepare the students before they face the world of work. The lecturers can help students in improving their EI by providing relevant materials and activities. By improving their EI, students will have a greater chance of success in the world of work. They will be able to cope with the challenges and stresses of work better, as well as to build good relationships with others.
